Infant & Toddler Program (11 months – 3 years)

At Rising Gems Early Learning, our Infant & Toddler program is designed especially for children from 11 months to 3 years old.
We know these are big years for growth, so we focus on creating a safe, loving, and play-based environment where your child can feel secure, explore freely, and build strong relationships with trusted educators.

Our Approach

  • Warm, responsive care – Educators offer lots of cuddles, gentle words, and one-on-one attention, helping children feel safe and understood.
  • Reggio-inspired learning – We follow the child’s interests and curiosity, using real materials and open-ended play to support natural exploration.
  • Play-based development – Through simple daily routines and hands-on activities, we support language, movement, thinking skills, and social-emotional growth.
  • Small group environment – A calm, home-like space and low child-to-educator ratios allow us to really get to know each child and family.

What Children Experience

Our Infant & Toddler program includes a balance of structured routines and free exploration, such as:

  • Sensory and fine-motor play
Water play, rice or bean bins, playdough, soft blocks, and simple tools to help little hands strengthen and explore.
  • Gross motor and movement
Climbing, crawling, pushing, pulling, dancing, obstacle paths, and indoor/outdoor gross-motor play to support coordination and body awareness.
  • Creative arts & monthly themes
Age-appropriate art with non-toxic materials, simple crafts, finger painting, and seasonal/interest-based projects that build creativity without pressure.
  • Early STEM and discovery
Simple science activities like pouring and scooping, exploring light and shadow, cause-and-effect toys, building with blocks, and nature investigation.
  • Music, dance & yoga time
Songs, instruments, rhythm games, simple yoga stretches, and movement stories that support language, listening skills, and self-regulation.
  • Outdoor and nature play
Daily outdoor time (weather permitting) for fresh air, gross-motor play, and exploring natural materials like leaves, sticks, water, and sand.
  • Social and emotional learning
Gentle guidance for sharing, turn-taking, expressing feelings, and building friendships in a calm and respectful environment.
